This is not Gotham City… Or is it?

So my sister Michelle and I were driving along down I-95 toward Miami a couple of months ago, just minding out own business, when out of nowhere we saw this:

Yes, folks, that is indeed the Batmobile just ahead of us and to the right.  We decided to get a little closer to inspect things.  Sure enough, Batman and Robin were driving.  There must have been an emergency at the next exit, because soon thereafter, they left the highway, probably to save the commissioner from unmistakable doom.

We kind of forgot all about our little road trip excitement until last weekend when I took a back road home from Tampa, and we saw this:

Holy doppelgangers!  Could Batman have a twin?  (Or is he following us?)  You decide.

Time to talk:  Who’s your favorite Batman: Adam West, Michael Keaton, Val Kilmer, George Clooney, Christian Bale, or the forthcoming Ben Affleck?  Which Batman villain do you like best?

    • So you think Shirley makes a better Robin than, say, Cat Woman? 😉 Come to think of it, you do have a Batmanesque quality about you, Sir Mike. Now all you need is some blue tights!

  1. Michael Keaton without a doubt – he can pull off being funny and serious and sarcastic all in the same scene. I saw the original Batmobile up for sale on Mecum Auctions one time [about 5 months ago], so one of these might just be it!

  2. You’re lucky you were in the passenger seat. I would bet a lot of people get into accidents (or near) trying to snap a pic of that while driving. I dare say Batman and Robin must be one of your neighbors.

  3. That’s awesome! I remember all of them, but I really enjoyed Keaton. I have to pick the Joker for my villain. They always seem to be able to reimagine him and he’s even more terrifying than the last time.

  4. Only you, Rachel, would see Batman, Robin, and the Batmobile driving around in your area–twice! 🙂
I’ve never been a Batman fan, sorry, so I can’t weigh in on a favorite. I don’t think I’ve seen any of the movies.

  5. That’s awesome to have seen this–only in a million years you would think. Since I’m most familiar with the most recent Batman movies, I will go with Christian Bale as my favorite 🙂

  6. Adam West for me too. His acting was individually characteristic of a mannequin – but it didn’t matter to me – Entertainment to take yourself out of yourself methinks.
